I had the TSB done yesterday and after 24hrs on bumpy back roads its still pretty quiet. Same roads on Thursday were almost unbearable so...so far so good.

Mine was done about a month ago and all was fine. Seems to be starting up again. The last time it got worse over time so I will see what this ends up doing. They replaced the tracks in mine and took a couple days at shop.

Mine is back but not nearly like it was before. Only over bumps that really twist the chassis I hear a little bit of a creak. Not nearly as bad as it was before though.

Sorry to hear that. I have put 2,500 miles on mine since the frame assembly was replaced and it's still quiet. As a precaution I purchased the grease recommended in the TSB and I performed the entire TSB myself. Keeping my fingers crossed. Not getting too optimistic until I've put 5,000 miles on the new frame. That's when the original failed. Have you done the TSB?

They basically replace the entire moon roof except the two glass panels and the drive motors and a few other components they transfer over. The part number is FL3Z-16502C22-A. It includes the tracks that the front glass moves on. It's a very large job as it requires removing the headliner. Takes several days. In terms of the "why?"; well we had tried several intermediate steps to no avail. They included aligning glass panels, lubricating tracks, replacing the rear glass panel (which separately required the headliner be removed). All of these steps seemed to help slightly but none totally eliminated the knocking noise. There was no TSB available at the time so we had to seek out a more aggressive solution on our own. Thus far the decision has worked, but as I mentioned in my earlier post, I'll reserve judgement until I have put at least 5,000 miles on the new track/frame assembly as that is when the original moon roof started acting up.

Adjusted the glass and applied some rubber seal lubricant to the front seal of the glass and it is now bank vault silent again. Woohoo!
