I would at least take your truck in and have them perform the TSB. I just had it done again yesterday. It lasts about a month before the noise comes back but it is at least a month of not wanting to drive your truck off a cliff to put it out of its misery.

Brutal. $60k on a truck and people are having to deal with obvious quality issues that are barely being recognized by Ford. Poor showing by Ford.

I guess no real way to know if a vehicle will be affected by this issue until you buy it and drive it for a few months?
My first 2015 never made a sound from the moon roof in 6-months. It was the doors on that thing that could never get sealed. My new 15, has been knocking for 4-months, been to the dealership twice, this time they ordered parts for the TSB. I have to take it in yet. Parts were on some type of delay as it sat there for a week. Left with nothing fixed...love it

I have 3,900 miles on my truck and this just started happening as well...I'm afraid to let them tear everything apart to fix it...hopefully they can adjust it or grease whatever is rubbing together..thoughts?

Are there any moon roof equipped trucks that are problem free after a few months of ownership?

Mine started right at 5k miles. I'm at 7k now and it's progressively getting worse.

Mine was a minor rattle at about 21000 miles. If I pressed on the glass at the front it quit. Dealer had it for half a day. Can't tell the did anything by looking at it, but no rattle and works great. Now have 27000.

Because the roof metal is expanding slightly with the warmth making it a tighter fit.
