It's getting colder in New Jersey and my nocking, creaking roof is back. So happy!

Moon roof rattle gone!

Ford Canada had City Ford of Edmonton install all new panels, track, bolts, motors, frame. Simply put; everything. Either my old parts are on some Fedex truck going to some engineering department in Michigan or I was lied to and they're sitting in the dumpster.

Either way I'm very happy that Ford Canada was able to approve this warranty repair and very happy that the Edmonton City Ford shop foreman rode around as a passenger on a test drive and verified the failed adhesive in the glass with his bore-scope. All around good service, but it took 2 tries to allow for due diligence to take affect and convince them that the issue was not related to the TSB.

I'm not too disappointed by that; after-all, Ford has to troubleshoot these things in logical steps and there is already a TSB out (which failed in my case).

I'm leaving my video on you tube for all future F150 owners who may encounter the same thing. I think there are a few moon roof problems and everyone's rattle may be slightly different to some degree.

I wish you all luck.
Curious why you had them replace all of that when it was only the front panel causing the issue with the cracked/broken adhesive? I'd be worried about them causing other issues such as leaks by doing all of that. Why not just replace the defective panel? I'm in the process now of discussing with my dealer getting the panel replaced. I specifically referenced your situation with them. Thanks for figuring this out!

I have a 16 that is 4 months old with 10k on it and I also have the rattling roof. I notice it more in below 0 Temps like we have now.

I Also avoid the dealer dealer and would be interested in what actually causes this rattle, I have a 16 that's 4 months old that makes the noise in cold weather.

Ford's "customer assistance" was to let me pay "only" $80 to fix a manufacturing defect. I have owned vehicles that went 200k miles without having to grease a sunroof in order for it to work, now Ford says paying $80 every month to keep it working, is normal wear and tear - ridiculous.....

Edit: Did you remove the accordion rubber pieces on the front pane? I went out & cannot replicate the noise by pushing on the trim around the front nor rear pane; can't reproduce the sound at all by hand.
But, I get the exact same noise when driving as in your video.

^ Edit: All the prodding I did at lunch yesterday must have pushed something into place. Absolutely no rattle on my drive home last night, nor on my drive to the office this morning. Fingers crossed.

The area from AB_Ape's video & all around the edge of the glass from inside & out, trying to replicate the creak from his video.
I did notice that the rubber 'accordion' piece wasn't fully seated on the driver's side at the front of the glass, but not sure if it was related.
