Adding a 1.5" (kinda) level kit, so, 1.5 in the front, 1 in the back. Want to fill the wheel wells a bit, stock 275-45/22 already look small before the lift. Per the tire size chart, looks like 275-55/22 is the right size ? I hear conflicting info, and dont quite trust the tire store kid, who originally told me 285-45/22 was next step taller. Looking for sound advise, photos, etc.
The kid is right. Your 275/45 are 31.7" tall. 285/45 bumps that to the ubiquitous 32.1, and 275/55 bumps way up to 34.3
I wouldn't suggest 275/55 with anything below 3.55 gearing.
If there are any 295/45's,, 32.5 would be a lot more reasonable for a 3.31 diff for either of the ecoboosts, but I'd pass on that for the coyote or 3.3
35x12.50r22 Ridge Grapplers - 1/4" spacer up front required to get away from the UCA.
not a '15-'20 but i run 285/55 on my '13 2wd with 2.25" readylift.
if you're looking to fill the wheel well you will be disappointed with anything smaller than a 34-35" tire IMO. Even a 33x12.50r22 will look small as it won't measure true once mounted.

if stock 275-45 is 31.7x10.8 and I went 275-50 (32.8x10.8) id gain some diameter. looks like once I bump from 50 to 55, the width grows, not the height. That black plat, wish I knew the lift specs, looks similar to what I just got rid of. not positive what it had, would say 1.75 front lift and 2.50 rear lift. was too tall for me, being fat and old, makes it hard to get up to the tailgate step, let alone the rest of the truck. If I wouldnt have had that lifted platinum, id never try to bump the height of my current limited. I do have the 3.55 rear.

Tire sizing:
275/45-22
275 = mm wide
45 = 45% of the width (275)
22 = wheel size
The sidewall of a 275 tire will increase with the second number. 45, 50, 55 are all taller than the one previous, but the width never changes.
You can find many online calculators that calculate this for you -then you can scout out how your tire position will change as you increase/decrease either of the first 2 numbers, assuming you keep the 22's standard on the Limited.
The reason the store employee is correct is because a 285/45 means the sidewall is 45% of 285 vs 45% of 275 in the stock configuration.
A sidewall, mathematically, of 285/45 would be 5.05" compared to a 275/45 sidewall of 4.87".

it has a 2.5" level, stock block in rear.
If you're not wanting something overly aggressive but still look better than stock, a 305/45r22 can look decent. The below truck has 1.5" wheel spacers to give the smaller tire a better look IMO
