I thought it was 04-09.

I've only seen one in the wild. Did a double take thought I was seeing things.

This one's a 2004-2008, not sure which year specifically the SuperCab 5.5 foot bed was first offered.

I'd love to have the 6.5, but trucks were slim pickings when I bought my 05 new. The truck had exactly every option I wanted and the color, so the only thing I lost was the bed.

IMHO why should trucks have more cab then box...is it a truck? that's why I like Regular cabs...to each their own though.

Didn't want a 6.5' bed. Everything always fits into my 5.5' beds that I haul and for that rare time, I'll just drop my tailgate and use a ratchet strap to hold the cargo in place like I did for mattresses.

On a crew cab, the 5.5' bed looks more sporty and that's what I wanted on this truck. The 5.5' bed truck will handle better being shorter. The 5.5' bed truck will have a smaller turning diameter. THe 5.5' bed truck will fit better in parking lots and parking garages, and fit most garages where a 6.5' bed will not. Pulling a trailer and jack knifing the trailer into tight spots is a lot easier with a 5.5' bed.

I went with a 5.5' bed but had the option to go with a 6.5' bed if I wanted this time.

I had a RC 6.5 bed and used to be able to load the RZR in for quick trips..

I got the tailgate bars and it worked well, I bought a trailer for the rzr but it would have been nice to put the rzr in the truck and the quads in the trailer for when we have the whole drew...

When I upgraded to the SC it no longer fits ...

i hade the option of going to the SC 6.5 and was a toss up but knew it wouldn’t fit in the garage...
I went with the 5.5 on the new one but will have to figure out what to do on busy days...

Just thought I would mention that. The Short Bed was invented to fit in the undersize garages that have been built in recent years. IE Smaller than 24'.
