If you're planning on replacing XLT 8 pin mirrors with XLT or Lariat 22 pin mirrors, you will need to replace both door harnesses and possibly the door modules depending on the additional mirror features you're adding. The door modules are not programmed when purchased but can be programmed with the correct As Built data for the additional features using FORScan. Additionally you may have to program the BCM with the correct As Built data. There are several different door modules available based on mirror features and vehicle build date. If you want spot lamps to work, you will need to purchase the additional hardware: processor, vent and switch.

If you're intending on installing 22 pin Non-Trailer Tow mirrors with power fold you will also need to replace the window switch. If your installing 22 pin Trailer Tow Mirrors with power fold and extend, the XLT cab harness won't support the power extend feature so additional wires will need to be added to the harness.

It is very important to know exactly which mirrors you currently have and those you will be installing prior to starting a project like this so you have a complete understanding of the scope of the project, a parts list and associated cost so their are no surprises.
