Huge shout-out to Firerunner for his help, but today we finished our running board installation on my 2016 Lariat.

I wrote a detailed document that should help others tackling this project. In total it took about eight hours. About two hours to pull the old boards and install new ones, with about six hours to build the wiring harnesses and install everything. They work great.

Trying to make it easy for others to do. The hard part is the wiring, and it's well documented. Installing, mounting, and running the wire is very straight forward. Go find a pair and install them. Total project cost is offset by what you can sell your old ones for.

Yea I am there ... all wired , RBM module in and working, IPC setup menu is there. Just need to find some boards at a good price near by.

@Coola1, Morrison's Auto Parts has a pair - $500.00 for one & $400.00 for the other.
The $400.00 board has some dents in the chrome, but IIRC you can get the replacement strips for $75ish on eBay

Here is a link if you are interested SCROLL TO THE BOTTOM OF THE LINK

Apparently pulling the fuse does turn the running board control off. I don't think it changes the setting in IPC, but it did set the running board to "OFF" in the advanced settings menu. Drove me crazy till I found it.
