Default The "Pit" (2015 Lariat/w/console shift)

Finished my "Pit" remodel today. What you need ~ Homemade false bottom-(1/4" plywood). Made a cardboard pattern-don't make it too tight as it will be too hard to remove. Matte black would probably look better than the gloss I used. ~ You'll have to remove the handle from the Front Seat Organizer to have enuf clearance for the Hanging Desk Drawer (the handle just snaps in so you can reuse it. ~ Notice the 12 volt plug-in is still acessable. ~ There is approximately 2-1/4 " of space under the false bottom. ~ As you can see there is enuf space on the side for a large notebook or two, also at the front under the sliding drawer!

The Front Seat Organizer I found at the local Walmart in the Auto section, around $10 I think. The Hanging Desk Drawer Organizer I had to get thru Amazon, about $7.50. You might be able to find one in the larger office supply stores.

Thanks, and yup, they're old. I guess you could call me a hoarder! This sure made the "Pit" a lot more organized and usable.

That's the first thing I saw. That and the slim jims/jerky sticks in the zip lock.

Yup, Ruger 380 LCP, and my CC Ruger 9mm, Kahr 40sw, and the sticks are treats for my Vizsla.

I made a similar false bottom, but I added a piano hinge in the center (front to back) so I can flip it open without pulling it out. Also put felt on mine so I think it looks more like an actual bottom of a center console.

Good job.
