I'm surprised Ford isn't using it the windshields with the antenna in them.

Any advice for getting the ball off and reattaching? I am assuming the ball at the tip should pop off and that is why people are tapering the edge to pop it back on.

i am having a heck of a time getting the ball at the end off.

Disregard...thought it was threaded...it popped off and bounced all over the garage.

I got a 24" from AntennaX and returned it. It was a very noisy Antenna made a loud howling noise at around 50-60mph.

But on the other side it drowned out the wind noise in the cab that these 2015 F150 are having. LOL

Are the antennas that long as a safety feature/reminder of truck height?

Ford obviously knows that a shorter antenna would work, but do they make it a few inches higher than the cab on purpose?

The parking garage at my work has low 6' 6" ceilings, and while my truck has a couple inches to spare the antenna hits on some low points.

I ordered this one from Breenspeed and it works great and keeps that factory look!

I haven't listened to the AM/FM radio in years. Just bought the smallest (1.5 inch) antenna on Amazon. Hope it looks good when I get it.

I wonder when a car maker will come out with a model without a AM/FM radio. It can't be too far in the future. My 2019 doesn't have a CD player, 10 years ago that would be unheard-of.

How much do you need to cut off the stock antenna to make it level with the top of the truck? I plan to trim mine, but I'd like it to be about 1" inch higher than the truck as a height gauge to make sure I can fit in parking garages, under branches, etc.
