I got my TCU installed in my vehicle and I made the APIM config change to let it know I had a TCU. I instantly got the activation message on my phone which went through perfectly, everything works. There is just one thing... Forscan does not see the TCU. I guess it doesnt matter since everything is working as it should, but still odd. I was doing a new vehicle profile each time to rescan modules and even installed the 2.4 Forscan beta. Any thoughts?

Well the normal update should be available on the owner.ford.com site

You added nav...that may have something to do with it too if it was not added the proper way...never know.

Firmware is something the end user typically can't do. That goes hand in hand with a software update during the proper dealer upgrade. I believe from what I saw posted in your information you provided in the past that the firmware is not the latest. (Going from memory on this one)

so I went and checked some folders on this computer,
I may be at sync2 3.10,
how would I confirm this in the truck ?
I would rather not want to loose the nav.

Well then can enlighten me on what you searched for and found them? I can’t find anything at all in my area. I live in Eastern North Carolina. Or maybe you can pull it since you have so many around you and I’ll pay you

I don't. Do you honestly think wreckers have the time or knowledge to catalog individual vehicle modules? Look for a basic common part, get a listing of several dozen trucks and then call those places to go poke at em with a stick.

So I may have added nav a bad way ?
and there are good ways to do same ?
Or, do we not talk nav here as I see it not listed on the spreadsheet ?
reason ?

would updating sync2, to 3.10, possibly get me the tcu acceptance pop up ?
or am I heading to sync3 ?

The proper way to add nav is using Ford IDS/Oasis and the license file. Then its "factory." I am guessing you used the hack.

As for the version and firmware...all variables need testing.

SYNC2 hasn't been confirmed to work with SYNC Connect.

If the truck's Sync2 did not come with nav from the factory, yes it has been hacked to be added, enough said.
You have to find what version of Sync2 you have, there has to be a page in sync display that will tell you what version your truck is running. Have you been to the ford owners site, it will tell you if a software update is available. Whether an update will help, I don't think anyone knows it for a fact.
Well I see JM061 was typing at the same time I was.
