Did you look behind the rear passenger seat for a plug end landed in a holder, above the jack ?
larger black end that fits the tcu ?
Yes. I did that before I ordered BGG's harness but didn't expect to find it since mine is a 2016.

the big problem with a lot of yards is that the tau part number isn't one of the options on car-part.com and is most likely labeled under something different or just tossed aside and when you cal and they can't find that number even though they just listed parts for one guaranteed to have it they claim its not available. i called a yard in indiana that had a 19 confirmed tcu per vin and i was looking for the tcu and antennas and since they claimed to not have had it when the parts for the truck just got listed the day before

That was my biggest issue. I could find plenty of 2017+ but I could not find one with a TCU. I finally stumbled across one from a 2017 King Ranch that was victim of a fire. I had to enter the VIN into FordPass and see if it had SyncConnect, genus idea! Only took me about 3 days of searching to find one and have it shipped to me.

You don’t have the test port either?

The blue plug seems to be just a holder for the white plug. The blue plug doesn’t have any wires attached to it. Here are more pics of the blue plug and the white plug that fits it.

Do the test port wires come out of the back of the OBD port?
