Assuming you got all the pop-ups on the APIM to activate? If that's the case then your APIM is fine. It's likely you're in the same boat as I was. You need to get a F150 TCU As-built loaded on there, but unless you have a donor vehicle like I did, then that'll be a problem.
Yep all the pop ups showed up fine. There isn’t a way to upload a as-built for a TCU if you exported a copy of yours then I uploaded into my truck would there?

Not if Forscan can't see it. What year is your truck?
When you wired it back in, did you wire it to HS3 Can Bus as the diagrams show?
Not wasted. lol Yes, I actually just wired it off the ACM, since it's right back there. Pins 15/16 on C240A. Only thing i need is the antenna wire. My method is a bit ghetto. Might need one of those custom harness that BGG is selling. My method is a bit shady right now.
I tried temporarily connecting mine up through the obd port to the HS Can ports but the module was not detected in Forscan. My module is also from an Escape. I have no idea if it was powering on but it was connected to an external 5v source instead of to the BCM. I tried removing and adding the truck in FordPass but didn't get anything for Sync Connect.
Not sure if I didn't have a good connection, the module is DoA or if it just isn't being detected.
Just thinking that if the gateway is preventing access for some to initially configure as built data on a TCU, shouldn't it be possible to bypass it at a bench level? What I'm getting at is can't ForScan be used to talk to just one module at a time?
I'd use some gator clips and test pins to try and connect a TCU directly to a USB OBD 2 adapter / Windows laptop. It's possible the firmware of the 2015 F150 OBD2 (i8iridiums's gateway module) was preventing communication.

Still not showing up in APIM that there's a hotspot, yet it's broadcasting. This might be something to do with my Sync Software Version/Hardware. Mine is a pretty old Sync 3 module on Build 18093.
Agreed. I think only Sync 3 V3.2 or later can be used in conjunction with the hotspot feature. I've never seen the UI of V3.0 support the hotspot interface icons.

You do a great job with write ups. If you will commit to doing a detailed write up and supplying me with a copy in Word I will provide you with a TCU harness.
