signal strength is in the tcu PID in forscan, mine is around 180 ~ 190.

Alright, here's where I am with my swap. So everything is wired up, TCU is showing as a module in forscan. I loaded my buddies asbuilt data from his truck, identical optioned to, obviously with the exception of sync connect into the TCU. Loaded everything up, an made the APIM change, and deleted truck from ford pass app, when I reloaded it, it asked me to use smartlink and stuff and I clicked yes. I still don't have buttons to start or anything, but I have the tab for smartlink up at the top which just says discontinued. Ideas or what am I doing wrong? You guys are all much smarter than me.

This isn't smartlink. Don't use that, turn it off.

Pull the truck from the app and disconnect the battery for a minute and reconnect. This ensures all the modules get reset. Then add the vehicle to the app.

Isn't Smartlink the failed Ford product that mimics Sync Connect but with the Sprint Network? How are you even seeing options for it?

Are you sure it's not showing applink?

I have all the parts together for this MOD but I have a few questions I can not figure out from the first post.

My truck is a 2018 f150 XL

1. My truck did not come with a TCU but I will be installijg THIS ONE. Do I need to add any DATA to the TCU when I install it or just leave it as is? The first post says to copy over data from donor TCU but my truck did not have a TCU to begin with.
2. I have already installed the stock remote Start Module and made the changes for it in Forscan and it has been working fine. This should not effect the TCU install, correct?

Thanks,

Thanks,

i think that had to do with Forscan not seeing the TCU, now forscan has been updated and should see it. you will need to make some as built changes that are int he first post, I.E. set to factory mode and back
