ForScan 2.4.0 has built in feature when connected online which shows the compatible firmware versions. It's hit and miss, but usually points at the file which you can download from Motocraft or UCDSYS.
Tried changing the link from 2.3.28 to 2.4.0 but its not a good link.

2.3.3 through 2.3.9 all work, but 2.4.0 does not.

I read through a lot of these posts but it is rather confusing. Can I get a quick summary if this is doable in a 2016 F-150 King Ranch and is it plug in play if the correct parts and member built harness is purchased? I also have a 2018 Expedition with connect installed for any programming (I read you might need to connect it to a truck that already has it to program something?).

I paid way too much for this one. Do you think you can get it to work with a 2018 f150 if I send it to you to downgrade?

Thanks, I will re-read that. I am comfortable with Forscan. I just dont want to have to cut into other wires, splice ect.

If you use 2016boostedgreygooses harness you won't have to cut anything. You will need to unplug one of the connectors on your BCM, release the locking mechanism and insert the power wire
