I appreciate your info. If you don't mind me asking: how do you learn this? Is there a method we can use to learn these things on our own? do you work for a service branch?

Could someone send me a link to Forscan 2.4.0? I would love to try to flash firmware on this TCU. JL3T-14G229-AM
I also had no luck finding firmware on the UCDS Forum/site.

Just checking in with you and following your progress, have you gotten any further on this? I want to attempt this on my wifes 2013 explorer, when I scanned the car I only had HSCAN and MSCAN I didn't see the I CAN that you refer to. I was looking into this a little further and have some part numbers im looking into. Apparently a 2012 focus electric had a TCU and then ford did an upgrade to said TCU. Im wondering if these older ones can be what we need to communicate on our older networks.

Trial and error testing, lots of research along with some collaboration with others. I operate my own website related to this sort of stuff.
