Someone incorrectly called it 15-18...the TCU wasn't added until 2017 so that diagram is likely from 15 or 16. Stuff does change year to year.

agreed, which is why a smart person will look up the correct year for their application... and then sort the details out.

Do you really think the intentional abuse is necessary bro? unbelievable. What I referred to on 15-18 is the fuse diagram that I pulled from Ford website, which I attached to that post. Did anyone bother to look at it before snide commenting? What does it say at the top of the doc? If Ford is wrong, take it up with them instead of ahole-dumping on the new guy.

Keep in mind you are all very experienced with looking things up and where to locate things. I am new to the F150 and doing my best to learn it and I have read everything posted. If I had not read everything posted, I would not have asked to confirm pin16 when I ran into an issue. I believe pin 16 is supposed to be hot. it's just not set up that way on my specific truck. I wish it were.

Regardless, even if someone does make a bonehead mistake- always treat people with respect. Especially when they have been nothing less than courteous and respectful to you.

yeh i have been learning these differences in the month or so I've been modifying my truck. that's the only C2280C diagram I could find for F150. the rest of it matches up. If there is a main web page to download specific year connector schematics I'd love to know about it.

Kinda hard to read one's intention/sentiment via the internet... you are wrong, very wrong. I wasn't trying to in anyway abuse you or anyone else. Typing fast as I am under my truck..... apologies if it was taken wrong.

This may be the wrong thread for my question and I apologize. I posted this question on many other topic related threads with 0 replies, and given experienced people with forscan and modding are active on this thread, I have to ask.

I have 2018 F150 XLT (base). I added TCU no problem so that works for me thank God.

I pulled ALL parts off a 2017 F150 (bezel (FCIM), 8 inch screen and TCU).

I keep getting DTC in ForScan for heated seats (left and right heated seats sensors - additional is open circut for both driver passenger heated seats). I tried everything in ForScan to disable heated seats but nothing worked for me regarding DTCs.

Are those settings hard coded into FCIM? idk what else to try xD

Talking

Got all installed and working- went rather smooth. From time of placing TCU in factory mode, to provisioning mode to wait for authorization, to authorized was less than an hour. the longest part of process was the 'wait for authorize' to work in the Fordpass app. App was showing the 'activate vehicle' in my Fordpass once I added my vehicle, but pressing the activate button would return a communication error and said 'check vehicle to ensure communication is configured'. The TCU was showing 'wait for authorize' in the live data stream view. i took the dogs for a walk, tried the activate button again 30-40 mins later and it went through, asked me to accept connection in the vehicle, done! Everything is showing in the Fordpass app except oil life is "--". I can lock, unlock, remote start, remote stop, and engine running status updates in the app fine.

Also looks like I got a free bonus- since this was a brand new never used TCU, i got a message popup on Sync3 screen saying I get a 3 month free trial of ATT mobile hotspot. I accepted of course. lol. realistically I will never use it but what the heck I will play around with it. I have an "LTE" and small truck icon on upper right of Sync3 screen now, with 4 bars. I suppose that is related to the hotspot service?

These are the steps I followed along with all the page 1 info
After hooking up the TCU, ensured APIM and BCM settings were correct. Reset APIM, screen master reset.
Removed truck from Fordpass app
Set up monitoring in Forscan to keep tabs on the progress of TCU under the diag part of Forscan.
Did not need to change anything in the new TCU's asbuilt data, it was already configured for 2018 F150 no changes needed.
I put TCU in factory mode by changing 754-01-01: to xx03 xxxx xxxx then write, and wait for 2 mins (live data status told me when to go to next step)
Then went to provisioning mode by changing to 754-01-01: xx00 xxxx xxxx and wait another 3 mins. (live data is handy!)
Then put it in authorize mode by changing it back to 754-01-01: xx32 xxxx xxxx. Live data showed 'waiting for authorization'.
Added my F150 to Fordpass app. Activate button was showing in app but not successful when pressing it. had to give it 30-40 mins before app let me connect and authorize from the vehicle. Live data changed to 'Authorized Mode'.

BTW for the Forscan spreadsheet, TCU-2018 tab, might be good to include values for 2018+ F150 - The below settings worked for my truck based on comparative 2018-2019 F150 asbuilts:
754-01-01 xx** xxxx xxxx - my working values are B132 0000 0000
For the enabled wifi hotspot setting on 754-02-01 x*xx xxxx xxxx I had to use "B" to get it working in my 2020 hardware Sync3.4, referenced from comparable 2019-2020 F150's. My working values are 0BA0 0000 0000

Copy of my working TCU abt file attached.

I have a couple of "active alerts" showing in the Fordpass app, but I do not see where to clear them. looks like they got picked up from when I was making some changes and set off some DTCs. is there a way to clear them from the app? I do not have any DTC's showing in Forscan except for the Bingfu antenna causing a TCU non-grounded antenna fault.
