If remote start is not working in the app after the initial retrofit, a user confirmed disabling and enabling remote start in the IPC was his resolution.

So I have a 2017 XL and looking to do the Sync Connect and just need to run through my thoughts and get some opinions? Attached is a picture of what is in my back seat. I have read page 1 and I want to see if I have this right.
1. I am going to order a TCU from flvpmods.com and I believe he told me it is the LTE Hotspot capable model. Do I need to hook up another antenna if I do not want Hotspot to the TCU? (I think I need to get 1 Bingfu off Amazon and just install it by the headliner) Is the wire in picture the antenna for the bump above the passenger seat? Would this wire work?
2. For the Harness - what is in the Picture? Do I need an adapter?
3. flvpmods.com is going to program the TCU with VIN - which is perfect!!!
4. APIM for Sync 3 and BCM/IPC I understand - I think that is the easy part of this.
So basically do I have the right parts or do I need an adapter for the TCU power and 1 more antenna. Any help would be appreciated!!

that purple/pink plug end does look kinda right for the purple/pink ant port on the tcu in the post above yours,
that other end does NOT look correct for the power and network, thinking this would be power for a rear slider window,
funny that the pink one would be there, and not the other,
are there any other dead end plugs on that back wall ? I remember some posters showing that they were landed into a holder screwed on the back wall, bout 1/2 way up,
on that tcu the plug for power/network only fill about 1/3 to 1/2 of the large white on the tcu.
Pg1 gives you a member here that makes a fine harness if you need it, and it's a fairly easy install,

Just took a look and I am not seeing any dead end plugs. Actually don’t know what I am looking for? Took another picture of what I am not sure what it is?

that's a ground cable, ford seems to like ground cables, everywhere,
that's where I mounted my single antennae when I did mine,
the tcu is still bouncing around or wedged loose behind the jack back there.

What does the TCU get hooked up to? Maybe I can back track it?

From your picture. it looks like you may already have an antenna. The purple Fakra connector is correct for the Fordpass functionality. if you don't want the hotspot I believe you just don't hook up an antenna to the yellow connector. When I did my 2018 STX I used a TCU without hotspot and it just has the purple connector. Do you have an antenna under your headliner near the 3rd brake light? I can't imagine you would have the antenna connector and not an antenna. You need a harness to hook up the power and data for the TCU. One of the users on here sells them.
