That’s a reformat to go to 3.3/3.4, not back to 3.0. The has been no reformat tool released that lets you go back to 3.0 from 3.3/3.4.

So, had the day off with nothing to do, so I, took sync 3.4 back to 3.3. That doesn't fix anything.

Updated the firmware on the apim. All forscan said it needed was a second bootloader. That didnt fix anything.

Updated my tcu, that doesn't fix the issue.

So I went back to 3,4 on Sync.
So nothing changed. Except I've got 2 icons on hotspot now. One's a car with wifi bars coming out of it, and LTE bars. And my wifi icon is gone, and wifi is now moved to the Software update section.

Ford app is still working great!!! Hotspot connect but want pass internet.

So Overall, pretty happy with it. I really wanted the hotspot, but may try another tcu unit down the road. They are pretty expensive to just buy another one try.Thanks everyone for the help. Haven't heard back from ATT yet. So there is a small chance they can fix it.

Hi Guys, so opened up the ford pass app today, and had to agree to some terms. Looks like an update. Once I did and loaded the app. I had a trailer break test option.

However once I got home to test it. It's not in the app.

Anyone else seen this?

Why are you trying to go back to 3.0? Do you have Nav or Non-Nav? I can help you do that.

But there is no way to do it through USB stick updates. It takes special tools and software.

For those of you who did this mod, then suddenly found that Ford Pass stopped working early this year with version 3.14, have those issues largely been resolved and/or disproven? I know I need to update the first post again whereas the Apple Watch App no longer exists for Ford Pass, but it’s unclear to me if I still need the big red ‘don’t waste money on this’ disclaimer.

It seems that many users have gotten clean installs to work fine more recently.

I’d rewrite it to make it current. Mybe highlight this is not perfect and everyone gets different results. And that success one day may not last.
I deleted everything and re-added my truck. Worked perfect for about 8 hours then I lost all app functionality again. Siri Shortcuts work fine but app is broken. I’m still happy though. Without your instructions, an amazing well made harness from Boosted and all the rest of the discussion here id still have to walk out to my truck to get the milage 😆

I'm no expert, but I think by special tools he means a credit card, Alibaba and an afternoon to read through https://www.fmods.net/ which is a fantastic dedicated Sync 3 Jailbreak web forum every user here needs to visit if they're unaware of it.

While I agree in general, I’m guessing ~%80 of people who visit this thread can’t do the TCU addition without buying a premade wiring harness, I have high doubts those people can take apart their APIM, get a VM running (or know what a VM is) and successfully get things hooked up, let alone have the know-how after that to properly work with the board without majorly mucking it up.
