Has anyone used the firmware file on the main post to downgrade a tcu using forscan?

Why is firmware CR 'recommended'? I have run CS and now CT with similar results.

No issues to report with the latest CT firmware.

I have done many mods and used forscan to program feature with great success but this is the first time i have tried to do anything with firmware. I guess my question is the download only contains one file once unzipped. When i go into forscan to downgrade do i use the same file for all 3 of the lines? The tcu currently has different files for each of them (secondary boot loader, strategy, and configuration) loaded. I can get pictures if it helps. Thanks

You’ll need these files from the following site

JL3T-14G141-AA - SBL
JL3T-14G139-CT
JL3T-14G144-CT

https://www.fordtechservice.dealerco...?swproduct=IDS

Perfect! Thank you so much! Ill give it a go when i get a chance. I have a 2017 tcu in my truck right now and id like to get it to readout all tire pressures with a newer one that i have but it runs on hs4. The other option i had thought about was to add hs4 by changing the gateway module and adding the wires but forscan dont search for hs4 on our trucks. I already have an APIM that supports hs4. I also have heard that these old non-hotspot TCUs are not going to be supported soon by Forrd Pass.

Default Donor VIN for Hotspot activation

Your 2018 Ford F-150 has a SIM card # (also known as an ICCID#) installed in the vehicle for the wifif hotspot to receive data connection from the AT&T network. It starts with 89011... and is 20 digits long. If unable to be located, the SIM may be embedded in the vehicle and you will have to go to the dealership to procure the SIM #.

anyone know where this SIM card is located? I thought it was built into the unit?

Found quoted info on this and wondering if anyone can confirm a recent success retrieving donor VIN from ATT site after connecting to hotspot, or if ATT might've changed something?
@dfris2003 was ATT able to activate using IMEI?

EDIT: Confirming for others that the screen below should only display if your TCU is new (never before registered to VIN). I believe a brand new TCU purchased through authorized Ford dealer should come with a card that specifies the ICCID which is a hard requirement for ATT to activate it. I was unable to find any other method to locate the ICCID, so without that you're SOL. Also confirming a previously activated TCU does still populate the ATT activation page with donor VIN upon connection to hotspot.

No, I was not able to get the unit activated, ATT never did anything. I purchased another unit and it worked flawlessly.
