You used to need to go through that. All of those pages were login restricted with no 'average joe' access. Good to know it's opened back up again.

Funny enough, the form on that page is 100% identical to the code in the post I previously linked and they point to the same POST address. So really nothing has changed except Ford has opened their own access back up to the public.

Default TCU's

Hi all
I've been following this thread for a long time but have just now created an account. I added this to a super duty i had but removed it before trading it in. Because my account is so new I cannot post anything for sale. I just wanted to put out there I have 3 TCU's for sale. 2 of them are wifi hotspot capable and 1 is not.

sorry if this isn't allowed. I'm not sure how else to spread the word to anyone looking to accomplish this mod.

Thanks

Did you reset your BMS after the battery swap? BMS might be keeping your TCU offline when key off as an emergency power reserve measure if it assumes the battery is still weak from old cached data in BMS. Logging out and in of Ford Pass shouldn't hurt either.

I was kinda dreading the end result of this but I'm happy to say this morning everything back up and running I could have made one of these gadgets to do same thing but time is a bit in short supply I did add a 3.5 mm plug as my booster box as 12v dc output I'd say it's worth the 26 bux...pic attached I have a Tesla style radio and really didn't want to take it out put the sync 3 apim n stuff back to re authorize the TCU for fresh start...in the end be patient and realize these vehicles are not the simple days of old when comes to quick batt swap!

Default 2015 F350 Retrofit?

Hi all

I have read throigh this thread multiple times for different vehicles I have retrofitted and I dread doing it again. Is it possible to install a sync 3 into a non sync 2015 F350? I just purchased it.

Here is what the radio looks like:

For starters your in the wrong thread for such a project. Please don't hijack this thread for a Sync retrofit. There's enough of those across the web to choose from.
What your asking must be possible because in 2013-2016 SuperDuty Sync 2 was available as an option and Sync 2 to Sync 3 has been covered in other places already.

The biggest challenge will be installing the 54pin connector and splicing everything. Programming is no cake walk, but rewiring the entire dash and consolidating 3 or 4 harness into 1 will be much more tedious and time consuming. Good luck.
