Probably because as long as their APIM works, it's cheaper to upgrade it with a couple USB's than it is to replace it. For those who replace a faulty unit with factory, maybe they just want the factory look.

Hey guys, long time reader, first time poster. Sorry if it sounds dumb but where do yo download the update files? and will this work on an 2016 navi Apim or only the new ones?

I know there is a link at the beginning of this thread.. i personally got mY updates from another site... not sure if i can say on here.. i think the update will work on sync 3.0 on up.. others on here will have to verify that..

Very nice layout, don't like how the music album images got smaller but all in all 3.4 looks great.

Only issue that I see is that music commands do not work when playing music from a USB 3.0 drive. If I say play song "Africa" a small message displays but it goes away too quickly and I'm unable to see what it says. I tried my other apim with 3.0 sync and it works fine but on this apim running 3.4 sync I'm unable to ask sync to play songs. Can anyone else confirm this?

I also dislike the smaller album art, but...
When you're in the audio screen, click that little " i " info button and the album art does show a larger image.

Just noticed my heated steering wheel button is not on the climate screen. It shows on the top of the audio screen and I press and it brings me to climate! Anyone else?

hello guys, i updated mine to 3.4, but got a problem; the problem is when i activate dualzone i cant disable it unless i press from climate control panel,

anyone got solution please?
