1. Was that done on Windows or Mac? Macs are problematic.

2. Do you have filename extensions turned on?

3. Is that filename "autoinstall.LST" or "autoinstall.1ST" ?

So let me get this right if I insert the 3.3 USB now into the current 3.4 it will revert back to 3.3 no issue? Just one USB stick for both 3,3 and 3.4?

Format is final. Everything is wiped, possible exception of stored AM/FM presets.

Most errors are mis-spelling in the autoinstall or reformat LST files, or invisible file extensions.

that’s exactly what I did, I found v3.3 on 4dt site, put it on the thumb drive, put it in the truck. The top of the sync screen will say something like software updating(can’t remember the exact wording) when it’s done you remove the usb, it will still look like 3.4, turn truck off(I waited about 15 min) then back on and it will be 3.3 with map v1.18 still. You can probably do a soft reset instead of shutting truck off. I really wish ford would give us a black option and a blue option without having to use the Lincoln theme. I was able to get the ford logo on boot screen but the power down always showed the Lincoln logo it annoyed me. The Lincoln theme has a better looking volume display also(when you turn down the radio it’s round and floats on the screen) not a big square like on the ford theme

Thanks I still have my 3.3 USB so if I have warranty I can put it back.

That makes complete sense. I've never spent any amount of time with 3.2 or 3.3. I understand 3.2 and newer used the new file structure though. I just had the impression that there was some sort of verification which would prevent 3.3 from installing over 3.4
