New USB stick. Re-downloaded the USB2 media. Copied the data to the root of the USB drive and it still says insert usb stick.

Everytime I turn on the ACC or start my truck it wants to start the update. The first USB worked since my OS is wiped.

It did this endlessly until I pulled out the USB upon one of the reboots. Is this normal? Coming from 3.3 19052. 3.4 seemed to run fine after pulling out the USB but I'm wondering why it was doing that. I just used the USB3 files as stated for 2019 vehicles with 3.3.
You should have removed the USB before the reboot.

With it in the USB port, it thinks there is another update into infinity until the drive is removed from the port after an update. It does NOT check to see if the update on the drive is already installed.

Have you unhooked the negative battery cable?

I would put the usb in, pull your cable and put it back to force a reboot. Start it and let it run 15 mins and see if any update on progress

Should I reformat? I ran to the store. So I won’t be able to try for an hour or so.

I would try without. It's already wiped correct?

yeah. Keeps rotating the Mustang loading screens. If I try to use the USB 1 it errors out and says. Error update packages not found.

edit: I’m assuming it’s wiped. Given the loading screens

Thanks for the reply and the information. I removed the USB drive when it said Rebooting System on the display.

Although, in the past when I've done SYNC 3 updates, I didn't have to remove the USB drive and it had said installation complete after the reboot. It's the first time I've experienced a loop like that without removing the thumb drive.
