I received a message on ford pass that an update for sync is available. However, I wasn’t able to find out how to do it. I assume this guide is the key?
Hard to say but the consensus is you won't see it for 3.3 devices

Thanks Airborne Ape for all of your hard work figuring out how to get 3.4!!

Is there any way to have the Ford boot screen while running the Lincoln theme? I don't care much for the blue in the other themes but would prefer the Ford boot screen. Currently running the Raptor boot.

is that possible to just update/replace voice package?

Probably. That's outside my comfort zone. You can find the files breakdown by type on the Russian site

if you haven't already go to owner.ford.com and create an account then add your truck with its VIN. Then you can check for sync updates and download them from ford. Full instructions are on the sync upgrade page.
Some have reported being notified on fordpass about an update but owner.ford.com claimed they were up to date. Just wait it will show up someday but if you just have to upgrade all you will need is USB 3 from this thread since you are all ready at 3.3.

thanks. I did this last night and ford is saying my sync is up to date. Guess I’ll wait it out. I checked my version and it’s 3.3 with 1.18 maps.

Sorry for the dumb question, but I'm trying to upgrade my 2015 XLT non nav Sync 2 to Sync 3. Does my screen, APIM, and USB hub all have to be from a 2018+? Or only the APIM and the rest can be from 2016-2017?

You need to find a post about the retro fit or start a new post
