Yes, the heating/cooled seat and heated steering wheel icons are enabled on the home screen via ForScan

My experience is similar to jp6544. I've had 2 APIMs (one NAV, one non-NAV) start to act up (fail) after the v3.0 upgrade. Guess I'll have to try 3.4 and see if it makes things work better.... Just seems odd that I've had 2 APIMs which worked fine until the v3.0 upgrade, then immediately start to show problems... Maybe if someone has figured out what causes these to fail, they can be revived/fixed....

i'm not convinced the gen 1 APIM issues are as rampant as it sounds. i'm on gen 1 with no issue. i remember when going form 1.0 to 2.2 there was a two step process to re-partition the drive. i wonder if that process messed up some gen1 devices. if we had a reformat tool like we use in the 3.4 upgrade i bet a lot of the bad APIMs work.

gen2 APIM would have come with 1.1 which probably had the re-partition done

So I'm having a problem that I've seen others solve by trying multiple USB's, however it isn't working for me. I've ran through the USB1 procedure to reformat the APIM, however after that reboot it doesn't recognize any USB for step 2 and I've now tried 4 of them. On the last one I finally noticed the USB led was not on so I'm wondering if somehow the USB port isn't working after the first step. Does anyone have any ideas? This is on a 2016 and I did already have the upgraded USB ports for apple play. The ports are lit up however I'm not sure how to figure out if it needs replaced.

Default Updating via WiFi

Do you have to update via USB or can you wirelessly update it (2019)? I bought my truck last summer and have tried the wifi option but it didn't seem to find anything. Any advice would be appreciated.

Well it seems to be working now, no changes, just took a break from trying to get it working in my truck and went to mess with it again and it seems to be progressing through the update now. Weird, but I'll take it!

You don't have the donotidex file so it probably took awhile for sync to index all those files

When the operating system is not installed, it can't index anything. Realistically, the donotindex file is not needed for either USB1, USB2 or USB3.
