Climate control on touchscreen still works, although the heated/cooled seats are only accessible from the home screen or by pressing "more" on the climate screen.
Multi-color ambient lighting still works, even though it wasn't standard on my truck (2018).

Can you clarify "Multi-color ambient lighting still works, even though it wasn't standard on my truck (2018)."? Did your truck come with only the one ambient color or, did you do the mod?

Can you give some specifics about your truck? Not being able to manually navigate my music collection while in drive is a deal breaker for me.

Mine is a 2017 Raptor with Nav.

THANKS !!!

Can someone add some clarity to this "change" ? I have a 2017 Raptor with NAV. I have never used Forscan. Can I assume that I would still be able to manually navigate my USB music collection while in drive if I upgrade to v3.4 ?

If you have default settings, you will be unable to. There are some changes via Forscan that should enable it.

Thanks Paul !

I would like to see someone validate this. Meaning someone that upgraded to v3.4 and discovered that browsing in motion no longer works on their USB, then they enable it via Forscan and it now works while on v3.4.

Anyone try this?

Thanks All

RMS8 I documented this in an earlier post that with v3.4 you can no longer browse you USB drive folders. You can still do a voice search by song, artist, and album but not by folder. I enabled Nav-In-Motion through Forscan and that fixed the problem but introduced other quirks. The Nav-in-Motion disables 911 Assist, caused the radio language to switch to English (UK), speed limit signs looked European, and certain on-screen menus were in UK English (ie. colour instead of color). Also sometimes when I started the truck it would broadcast "language set to English ". I think this last part may be because the dash cluster was still displaying US English while the APIM was UK English.

The 2018s came with the single-color (blue) ambient lighting, which I dislike. I swapped all of the lighting modules with the multi-color ones and enabled the Ambient Lighting tab with Forscan. After the 3.4 update, it still works... so I have my nice soft red lighting, versus the ugly blue.

I used forscan to set NAV in motion which allows NAV addresses to be set while in motion. I have always been able to browse my USB music while in motion even without the change however, this is only after my truck starts and goes through its indexing of the USB device, usually about 20 minutes or so. Until the index completes I can not browse by artist, genre etc.... only way to browse prior to indexing completing is by folder.

I though this was due to the size of the drive and how much music I had on it, so put in a 32GB USB with much less music and got same result.

that is without using apple carplay and android auto they are a different story..... neither one likes you clicking through menus too many times..

Are you saying that each time you start your truck, it tries to re-index the USB drive from scratch as opposed to checking for changes?

\not sure if checking for changes or reindexing, but takes 20 minutes or so before i can browse by artist. quite annoying. I can use voice commands to pull up what I want, or I can browse by folder. once indexing completes, i can browse any way.

As I said, I thought was drive and amount of music i had 500TB drive with 300TB music. so I switched to 32GB USB drive wiht 20GB of music. same issue. I also have 3 different vehicles with sync3 and all of them do it.

fixing my booboo....... 500GB drive and 300GB music on it..... NOT TB
