Angry Washed my engine bay and found a green cap on the ground when I was done

2017 XLT 5.0 - I'm P.O.'d cause I'm sure it's no big deal but my OCD wants whatever this was covering protected. It says "Stockcap PE-15" and it seems to be for something electrical. Looks like this pic but it's green color and and little longer. I'd say about 1/2" wide by 1/2" long. There are also a bunch of numbers on the cap and it says "12v". If anyone knows where this goes I'd appreciate any info.

That cap would only be used on a part before it is installed. Pretty sure it was eitger already on the ground or someone dropped it at tge fsctory and you've been carrying it around since.

Does 8t have "NEG" or a "-" on it? I'm thinking it looks like a pre-install battery terminal cap.

They at one time used green and blue caps for the low and high side of the A/C lines. Just went out to my 2017 5.0 and it looks like they are now using black caps for both (at least on mine here in Canada). Had a look around the engine bay and no green caps found anywhere.
That being said, the image above is definitely a battery terminal cap (being a stock image I just wanted to be sure there wasn't anything green under my hood).

Too small for a battery cap.

Yep it's the same color green as those caps. I know what you're talking about and it's one of the first things I looked for. Mine are screwed on though. I appreciate you checking yours out for me.

Found the same green cap sitting on the engine of my
2023 F150.

Anyone figure out what the green cap is for? I just joined the green stockcap pf-15 club while I was putting on my oil separator can. Seems like it just popped out of nowhere while I was pulling off the stock ventilation hose. I'm assuming is is not particularly important?

Thx!

That's the blinker fluid cap. If it's off, you may have lost your factory fill and need to top off your blinker fluid before total blinker failure.
