Insurance replaced my head lights. I have a level 5
head lights w/auto high beams. The blacked out raptor lights were only a couple of hundred more than my original head lights. This was my opportunity to get the black out version that were on the raptor.
^ ^ ^ Nice. Those are on my short list. How long did you take to do your install? and are you an old hand at 12V wiring. Thanks.
took about 2 hrs. I'm no mechanic. Its pretty simple.. watched a video. They come with a really nice harness. All plug/n/play. You have to connect 4 led lights to the harness and that was simple. Gives the appearance the truck sits higher. But you have em for entry/ exit.
Gave her a good bath today. I normally do that every weekend (weather permitting,) but I've been quite busy lately, so it's been almost a month since I've been able to. I almost forgot how good she looks all shined up!
swapped my my XL door panels for platinum door panels over a year ago and quickly found out the lock/unlock buttons didn't work.. i was browsing BGG's website https://www.boostedgreygoosedesigns.net/ to find something to waste money on and i found he had a harness .. so after a year of reminding my wife and everyone who uses my truck the door lock doesn't work.. finally installed BGG's harness .. oh also finished up the Raptor wheel.. Paddle shifters didn't work because i didn't push the pins in enough.. had to dissemble the whole wheel to fix it.. but thankfully they now work.. the holes for the airbag were an interesting find on the raptor wheel as its in between the paddles
Depends on the LE agency/jurisdiction and whether or not there are violation cameras. May be too a CA Veh Code thing, but you'd be surprised. I ran no front plate on many of my vehicles for years until L.A. City wanted to run red light cameras (which were struck down by whatever court case). Now I run a front plate because I sometimes transport firearms to designated shooting areas and I don't wish to engage LE during those times in particular.
Defence, your truck is coming along nicely. Do you plan on a different wheel/tire combo? and hence the flares?
Plan on putting on some Raptor take offs and possibly installing the RC 3" bolt on lift kit in the very near future. Have to spread it out so the wife doesn't notice
