What did you do to your truck today?
Smarter than most Racoons
Today I installed the Auto-Stop Eliminator switch. I have mixed feelings for the Auto Stop. I'm all for increasing fuel efficiency and wouldn't mind if it did it in the fall or spring here when temperatures are not so hot but when I get in my HOT truck parked outside in the full sun and get about 3 blocks to a traffic light and the Auto Stop engages, the AC goes to 1/4 power which is so annoying. I guess it just bothers me that the default is for it to always engage unless you touch the switch.
So I got the Auto-Stop switch. Yes it cost about $100 but I liked this option the best. You can put a trailer light tester in the rear socket, I tried that but then I don't get the back up warning alerts. Or you can pull the smaller plug from the control unit by the brake pedal. I just decided the switch harness was a neater and more professional way to do it.
Followed a couple of YouTube videos for loosening the dash storage thingy and the dash bezel that is around the Nav screen. Popped the switch out, inserted the wire harness and reconnected and slipped it back in and put the dash parts back in place.

6.5ft bed with roll up tonneau cover here. I have 4 Bullrings. Does your cover block the holes or are they not there at all?
The 5.5' beds only have two

5.5' beds' forward stake pockets are covered by the bed rail caps, and instructions for Bullrings installation say to use a router to cut away for access... read this a few days ago here.
