What's that legal limit for the windshield again?....
None below the AS1, so visible tint over the entire windshield is pretttty easy to spot as illegal. Darker than legal on the front windows and noticeably dark tint over the windshield is the kind of thing that has you stick out like a sore thumb from a mile away to LE.

Well known because it's extremely rare. "Cops don't give other cops tickets"
Still ain't talking, but should get 1/4 of my newest mod done today. Have to wait to get it out of the barn though, waiting on parts, and a new 22mm ratcheting combination, I busted the one I had.
Picked up my new truck Wednesday. Front windows tinted, MX4 off my 2017 installed on the 2019, but I need to work out a different setup for the drain hoses as the stock ones on the MX4 are very long and my 2019 has the factory spray in bed liner which has drain holes close to the top of the bed, just doesn't work right. Going to make a hardware store run and get some tubing I can size down.
Forscan changes:
Enabled Auto Folding for the mirrors, Lincoln style
Changed DRLs to Parking + Fogs (Great look)
Disable Horn Double Honk
Added Heat/Cool Seats to Sync 3 Home Screen to go with the heated steering wheel.
I think that is it, I have on order raised F-150 lettering for the tailgate as I think it looks a lot better with the letters filled in. Also ordered some E-Track Wood Beam holders so I can build a bed divider like I had with my last truck with the drop in liner, but the spray in doesn't have a dedicated slot like the drop in did so going to build a nicer more full-feature one.
Chipped the windshield on the way to work. Got an appointment to have Safelite come by tomorrow to repair it. Hopefully they can get it done without any mishaps. They were really laying the “our repair could make it worse” warning on pretty thick but I assume that’s just to eliminate their liability if something goes wrong.

Hmm.. while it is officer discretion.. I wouldn’t cite unless the offense is a major offense. I do give lectures to other officers and on occasion have contacted their immediate supervisor if the cop is relatively new. Not to punish, but, to have the sup provide guidance.
I would not have cited my direct supervisors daughter. Dads punishment would be worse than my citation. I always give professional courtesy to service members and vets. And I never cite the greatest generation. I don’t see many of those on the road anymore though..

Good luck. I had a similar chip repaired a few weeks ago and it looked pretty good, you could still see the outline faintly. All went well for 2 days then the edges started spreading again. It has only spread about 1/4 inch and stopped. It is under the mirror so unless it moves much more I'm not going to worry about it. Don't want to replace the windshield unless I have to.
