What did you do to your truck today? Reboot.

Technically not today, but completed today. I upgraded my SYNC system from 4" SYNC to 8" SYNC 3.4 with a kit from 4D Tech, Inc. It was a seamless, and not very difficult, installation, and worked perfectly except that the backup camera wouldn't zoom. I contacted tech support. Brad responded quickly, said he realized they had made a small error, and immediately sent a new flash dongle. It arrived this evening and I flashed the truck -- five minutes including the time looking for my keys. :-) Brad also included a postage-paid return label for the old dongle, which is in the USPS box for outgoing delivery. All the parts were in perfect, new condition, and the electronics just required a five-minute flash with the provided dongle.
We just recently bought a travel trailer, so the upgrade is a huge improvement. It was pricey, but the competition uses some used dash parts which can look slightly used. The price difference was big, but I would not have been happy to offset my big improvement with a cosmetic problem.
Very happy with this upgrade.

Yesterday, drove it and burned 2 tanks of gas going and picking up a 1969 Camaro with a buddy of mine.
He hauled the car, and I pulled his smaller trailer.
Had parts in the car, both beds, the extended cabs, and trailer.

We don't apply ours because the wife works at a location where they get stolen a lot. Cops are gonna pull a registration check if they stop you anyway, and right now they only started lightly enforcing speed limits since 2019. Our police are about 20% short on staffing, the streets here have been kinda a free-for-all since the pandemic started.

Cops don't actually look at tags anymore to busy looking at their phones.
A lot of people don't realize that the cruisers have scanners capable of reading and cross referencing 1000 plates a minute.
It's an automated computerized system reads runs the numbers check tags, tickets, warrants, and beep beep up on the screen is your picture and the cops making a U-turn.

Pennsylvania used to be this way too but about 4-5 years ago or so they stopped the stickers to "save money" yet registration has gone up like $7 a year since I got my truck haha. It's nice to not have to worry about a sticker anymore.
