My latest addition to my truck is a set of factory box side steps.
As I'm not a shiny truck guy most of what I add on or mod is utility based.
I added a front mount receiver and shackle mounts for multiple uses like moving trailers, hobby snow plow and a winch.
But I have to think that with the Draw-Tite receiver that has a line pull limit of 9000lb and tongue weight limit of 500lb.
Just how much can I really winch.
9000lb straight and level, ok, but when have you ever winched something like that.
It's either up or down or at an angle and that's tongue weight.
I felt it needed an extra support to bolster that tongue weight limit.
Something strong and yet easy to add and remove just like my receiver mount winch.
A little 5/16"x 3" angle iron a couple 9/16" nuts and bolts and some imagination.
Takes about 5 minutes with a 13/16" socket and a screw driver to tighten the shackles
Now it just needs a little paint.

Topped her gas off, a bit over half a tank, washed her, added air to the consistently slightly low tire (followed with the last tire rotation), minorly adjusted the air in the others trying to get them to more routinely read the same on the dash. Yes, OCD!

Inflation gone wild! When I looked at adding the Hellwig rear anti-roll bar after I bought my truck, they were about $400 and I thought that was high. Silly me, $520 now, just a THIRTY PERCENT INCREASE! Of course, compared to $1700 each Tow Mirrors some are buying, the Hellwig is a bargain

Got the fire extinguisher shortly after getting the truck, and just left it in the box under the seat. Finally decided to properly mount it upright behind the seat because I know they shouldn't be stored on their side and I was tired of the box sliding around.

This next mod was something I did right after getting the truck, and sharing just now since I've seen a number of people buy those $30+ straps for the driver side rear seat latch. This upgrade didn't cost anything and took about 5 minutes. Cut a 1/8" strand of nylon chord, tied one end aroud the outside headrest rail and the other around the latch strap, and secured it in place with a zip tie so the strap doesn't slide off. Works great and is easy to grab a hold of.

Don't know.
I had never even heard of these until I saw an add for them on kijiji.
Got them for a really good price hardware and all, bolted right on I'm pleased.
