Somewhat related to these trim pieces; does anyone else have issues with water draining from these pieces for an extended period of time after washing their truck?? Is there a way to stop this?

Clint

How do think it will hold up to scratching? Thinking of wrapping those in carbon fiber to match my "B" pillars when I get around to it.

My XL just has rubber trim pieces so these fit on top of that. They also sell chrome versions. They are held on with 3m foam tape. Easy install. Just clean clean clean clean the surface they sit on.

Not sure how they will hold up. I'm gonna try my best to keep them looking good. I just wipe them down with a soft microfiber cloth.

I used the GM strip John and it was a pain. If ever again I’ll drill holes and use those 3/4” LEDs you recommend.

I used the same thing on my '17. Worked well. My '12, I used those LEDs mentioned. Thinking of doing that again on this truck.
I've also seen guys drill thru the plastic bumper cover and use those lights. Still not sure where I'll put them yet., likely same place you put your bar.

Oil change and a wash today. Also posted up in Truck of the Month, so please dont make me be the only one like April was. I know there are some really awesome 13th Gen trucks here, would love to see some competition for May.

Filled it up using store credits for $0.90 off a gallon after letting it run just on the downside of the E for empty. 22.x gallons in the 26 gallon tank. Truck kept barking at me from the 50 miles to empty notice. 40 til empty when I filled it up. Amazing, that well matched my truck figured mpg use. I performed the mpg bias adjustment last fall.

Took a 4 hour each way adventure trip with my wife to BUY A (darn near) NEW SET OF 18” sport wheels from a fellow forum member. Very nice guy, had a nice but somewhat short discussion on our F150s. 😎
Now the research begins. I’m not in a rush for tires because the rims are for mud/snow tires. I got time.

Last, I measured the lowest reading tire on the dash and set the rest to the same, as near as possible. I’ll see how they match next drive. Mulling over adding the TPMS to the new wheels. I get so **** over it 🤯 Yes, I didn’t wait for them to cool down. Oh, the horror!

oh, 19.6 mpg speeds keeping at 70mph for maybe 2/3 the trip with thrown in town driving.
