Joy. I have a feeling I'm going to end up needing to go to the stealership for this one
I renewed my free license about 2 weeks ago. It took longer for it to arrive in my email but it did come.

Some factory head units can be hacked into doing so, but it's really not worth it. In some states it's a pretty heavy fine if you're caught watching movies from the front seat.
Aftermarket head units and adapters can make it work, but it's not really a good idea.
Thank you for the knowledge , I know back in the day with aftermarket stereo it was easy done.
I'm just trying to do this for the children and wife on long trips to save putting extra screens in the truck and just using what I have , just me being cheap I think 🤣

My retractable steps paint was peeling so I bought a gallon of Herculiner and got them recoated. I'll use the rest of the gallon of bed liner on my trailer bed.

I hosed mine down today because since I installed those Putco trim covers, the birds seem to be attracted to my truck more now. They stand their little asses on that trim piece and just rain **** down the side of my truck. Fecking birds. LOL

That is quite a bizarre turn of events... would not have guessed these would attract birds. I've been interested in the dark Putco trim covers also but have concerns over their durability and longevity. Now that some scratchy talons have been on your trim covers, do you notice any scratches?

I feel like if I had these in dark gloss they would show their wear and I'd want to take them off, possibly only to find the 3m adhesive has caused damage to the OEM rubber. Or try something like you did with adhesion promoter and try to install them as permanently as I can.

I pulled my Putco covers this morning. I wasn't home for an hour and already a bird had left a fresh **** running down the side of my passenger door. Also the covers had started to peel away from the rubber trim on the same side. I got pissed and went ahead and ripped them off instead.

Here is what they look like after just 5 days. One hand wash in between. Don't waste y'all money. From afar they look good but they already have a ton of scratches in them.

Saturday I pulled the tailgate, tonneau, spare, bed mat, CAI and wheels to install the 29" tire/stock 17 wheel setup and ram-air intake then go to day one of the local track opening up. Times weren't the best at 9.11/9.09/.07/9.04.9.07/9.09/9.01 but I had a few issues. First, DA never got below 3500ft and it's a heavy 6spd truck. Second, we had HEAVY crosswinds. The track director pulled everybody together and said the JR Dragsters were done for safety's sake and it was up to us if the rest kept going. Refunds were offered if we felt uncomfortable but they were going to stay open for the guys that just needed 60ft/330ft data and anybody wanting to run full 1/8 pass test and tune. Lastly, my shift points are too low. Previous tune with the IMRCs locked on this manifold shifted at 7500 and with my gearing I don't touch 3rd in the 1/8. However, I found replacements for the IMRC stuff, installed it and got an updated tune from Oz and apparently it has my shift points back down at 7100-7200. I didn't really realize til later. I was pretty bummed because it was hitting 3rd at the 550 and putting a significant hurting on my times. I know, this truck isn't a race truck and it's probably stupid for most. But it's fun, it supports the local track/business and it's a great environment and community for it here. Next time out, with proper shift points, I'm positive I'll be in the 8s with a heavy truck with highway gears and full leather interior and full fuel tank. My tonneau cover takes 30seconds to remove (Rough Country). Bed mat is quicker. Spare is 2 minutes maybe. CAI swap to ram-air takes 5 minutes. Tailgate takes 3 minutes. Longest part is swapping wheels/tires and really only because I don't use an impact. I don't consider that a ton of prep.

Yesterday I loaded up my 22x9.5 Shelby wheels/tires on a pallet and shipped them to Texas to the guy that bought em. Then when I got home I attacked the rear end clunk I've had from my passenger rear shock. The Mammoth kit is good but has it's drawbacks and the upper bushing needed taken apart and lubed a bit.

I get to buy a new tail light, rear decal, and have the paint fixed on my truck.

A landscaper didn't secure his load and one of his trash cans flew out on to the freeway.
I avoided it, but a stupid Prius driver next to me wasn't paying attention and hit it square on, which sent it right into the side of my truck.

Hoping the scratches will buff out.
