Took the truck through the car wash today. Not my favorite thing to do as washing by hand always seems to be better and causes less scratches. Really focused on the rims as they are got a ton of brake dust built up which I hate letting that happen. Used some tire dressing I got from a relative. Didn't make the tires look like a deep black color like I hoped but definitely removed the brake dust from the white lettering which brightened them up...

word of advise.... after your wash... if your not going anywhere after for a couple of hours... put that product into a generic spray bottle, cover the rim as you apply a healthy amount, dont use a sponge or wipe it, leave it on.... they will look so shinny.... you'll be able to see your face in the tires 🤣. I do this on the semi trucks we prep for delivery. Waiting a couple hours allows it to dry and avoid spatter onto panels.
Ordered tunes
Installed a replacement 5 bar chrome grill
Ran power for my soon to be purchased radar detector form the center console up to the headliner
Crawled under the truck unsuccessfully searching for the source of a new vibration
Adjusted my fog lights I had aimed into the ground, still need to adjust them up some more but an improvement was made from before
Hand washed it

Ah okay. It didn't say how long to let it sit there so I let it sit for a minute. I'll try giving it a little longer next time.

I use the spray on stuff, I also like shiny tires even though a lot of people don't. I've been using some stuff called Cristal Untouchable in a Purple can from Walmart. Smells strange but it's as easy as spray on and walk away. Not expensive and it lasts a while too.
Nice looking Blue Jeans though! My favorite color, though I am a bit biased!
There are several numbers with ColorBond for black, how do you know which more closely matches in color and texture?
thanks, Clint
@Blue Blood I bought 4 different colorbond spray paint 119, 324, 327 & 338. I put all 4 on a scrap piece of plastic for comparison; 338 was the closest match, 119 was a close second.
