Found a hand held CB in a repo truck yesterday. Like brand new and had the charger with it! Asked the boss and he said it's fine if I kept it. Think it will make a great addition to the truck until I finally get around to installing the Cobra 75WXST from my old Tacoma.
Thinking about buying a new antenna for it to extend the range.
I did something very similar with my 2017 which had the tiny screen radio. The iDatalink kits worked great with all the steering wheel buttons. Zero complaints about this setup.
[QUOTE=Summers22;7549747]I like the Cerakote wipes as well as I have used about 2 boxes worth. But for longevity, it doesn't hold a candle to the Turtle Wax Acrylic trim restorer. I have used it on my door handles, propane cover for camper and it's been 2 years for the propane cover and it looks the same now and sites outside in the sun year round. You do have to clean good, mask and apply 2 light coats. It's black and a little runny, I used round applicator pad and wore gloves, but it's the best trim restorer I have ever used.
