Found On Road Dominating
I know what you mean when it comes to needing effective backup lights. That's why I had the RI cube lights mounted to the leaf springs mounts under my 2012 Lariat. (Should be a poor picture in my photo album). Anyhow. They were wired to a switch in the cab rather then to the reverse lights; then I can control when there on. They are well concealed from would be thieves but still effective at lightning up the ground. Also being on a switch helps remind tailgaters that the next bright lights in their eyes might be from the ER Dr. Good luck.

I think I'll tie them into the cargo lights so I can turn them on without being in reverse though. I like having extra light at night. Case in point, helping a friend weld up a derby car in the dark without any work lights available. I had parked next to it so I just turned on one of the mirror spot lights, lit up the side of the car, welded the door plates, and called it a night.

I have a couple of cans of Plasti-Dip on the way for my badges, but come to think of it, the blue circle might be a nice piece to Plasti-Dip too! I'm not sure if I want to go the whole way and spray the entire wheel just yet, but this will be a nice little touch!

just get a set of these to match your truck or you could go black. I think I paid 20 bucks for them on ebay.
I know that you can still see a small bit of blue around the edges but you do not notice it unless you are this close
I had considered an independent switch for just that, but so far I haven't really noticed tailgaters with this truck like my last one. Maybe because it's bigger, or the huge adjustable hitch hanging off the back... (In fact, I've noticed most oncoming traffic tends to move right even though I'm centered in my lane and not riding/crossing the yellow line.)
