Very simple. Remove two screws and lift the entire assembly out. Drop in the new one.

Yeah it's more tan than gray. It matches the cup holder area perfectly though.

Mine was a little different. The screws are on the back by the hinges. Remove that black rubber cover and the 2 screws are under that on each end. Pull up from the back and it pops right out.

Super easy. Took longer to get the tools out than it did to swap the lids.

Check out this thread. I think you buy the grill with the DOOD letters on them, then you buy the FORD letters separately for some reason.
