I am jealous of your system. I don't have anything close to that. I had two W7s with my quarts back when I used to do sound comps. Had a JL 1000/1 and 300/4 powering it all. I hit 156 on the old mic and 153 on the new one back in 2004/2005 time frame.

I am about to install a replacement to MFT. I decided on an android head unit after much research. The sound quality will definitely be better than stock but not like I used to do. I am more interested in the customization of android and the ability to use my odblink mx to show live diagnostics and gauges on the screen. I also have a 4g LTE USB adapter coming. It works as a USB network or Hotspot router.

The best Android unit right now is the latest Joying. They run Intel processors with 2gb ram and 32gb storage. Lots of development coming via xda developers forum as well. It's going to be great using Google voice for everything.

I forgot to list the line-x bedliner and weathertech floor mats also.

I love the color on your truck. Looked at that color and denim as well.

Thanks Bill, I really like the JL stuff. Been building systems around their products since the late 90's. I have a 300/4 and a 500/1 that was in my fusion I traded in for the truck. Since there is limited room in the new truck I went with the 900/5 and moved the other two amps to my Lightning. Gutted the three 10w6 setup I had and now have a single 12w6v2. It hits that low frequency much better.

Nice job on the box building. I have a prefab currently with 2 12s. Nothing extravagant, but planning to build a custom box and spray it with line-x at some point. Also wanting to get a couple of those shallow mount W6s and the 900/5 you have. Not sure when it will happen. Spent a lot on the truck here lately.

I have a 2015 XLT Crew Cab 2.7 EB with Sport package.

Currently have a 5 channel amp and 2 12s under the rear seat. Can't wait to get rid of the stock MFT crap. I also have aftermarket ambient lighting but will take pics after I do the head unit swap.

On the outside I have done the following:

Anzo switchbacks w/LED headlights
Anzo high mount LED brake light
LED taillight bulbs
Silver carbon mirror cap replacements
Tinted front windows match factory rear
Bakflip G2
2" Rough Country front level
Moto Metal Gray/Black 20x9
Nitto Exo Grapplers 295/55r20 32.99" tall 12.2" wide
Paramount Raptor Grill with proper Ford Letters
K&N drop-in filter

There really isn't anything else I want to do at the moment
Looked at the 2015 and almost bought a 2016 SCREW V8 as I wanted a better infotainment unit than MFT (which are in the 2015's). Then waited for the 2017's and just about to pull the trigger on one last week and bam! The 2018 midyear refresh hit with updates for Coyote and 10 speed pairing for the V8. I could save a few bucks and buy a used 2015 and update the head unit if there's something out there worth the time and investment.

Are you going to document your Joying MFT replacement build here?

I will definitely document it. I have all the pieces but won't be able to start until next week. Have to go to NJ for an 18th birthday party this weekend. Since I already have an amp and speakers installed it shouldn't be too difficult.

I need to root and install a few things on the head unit right off the bat. Want to map the steering wheel controls to activate Google voice. There is a guy on xda who created a couple apks to make this work. I also have to figure out which steering wheel control configuration to use with the scosche dash kit for this head unit. These xda guys are getting closer to a custom recovery as well. Can't wait to see what we can get from these head units.

However, i might install into the plastic front bumper pads for added lateral sight for deer mainly. I also ordered a switch panel and switches to go into the centre console for a clean look. I'll post more pics this weekend once the light bar arrives and I can install everything

Pictures: The switches are the actual ones and the other is a copy paste of the light bar.
Your switches look great! I recall buying those same ones for my dodge but never ended up using them.
The LED bar I wanted to do without any added light/push bar, but so far I'm hitting zero on mounts, unless I rig something up. I've seen some pics of what I want, just haven't found what they did to mount them. I don't really want behind the grill, and can't remove the license plate here, so was looking at on the bumper - similar to your picture but without the added bar...but that bar doesn't look bad...hmm..
I'll say the flush mounts in the rear are nice - really clean look and work fantastic.

I wrapped it in a protective cloth and placed in a vice.
Next I used a crescent wrench adjusted it to just wider then the end shaft. Place the wrench against the ball tip and tap it off with a hammer. Be sure to wrap some electrical tape around the tip and unroll about a foot and let it hang there. You'll see why soon enough.
Now with the wrench against the tip, hammer against the side of the wrench and the tip will fly off. This is where that tape stops it from flying around the garage or outside somewhere. Trust me it will fly into some crazy place.
Next cut the tip by 3". Next I used a bench grinder to bring trim the end to allow the tip to fit back on snugly. You'll have to grind away some of the wire wrapping as well. Next mix some 2part epoxy and apply to tip and some inside ball. Set and Let dry now a little paint and your all set.

Hope this helps.
I cut my antenna before removing the ball. Clamped the cut piece in my table vice, used crescent wrench adjusted just enough not to clamp antenna, took a piece of masking tape from one side of crescent wrench to the other side of covering the ball, tapped with a hammer came right off. Slightly ground the tip of the antenna so the ball would fit properly, couple drops of superglue, touched up with black paint.

You don't have to have lights on the KC Hilites bar and the license plate will stay as well. That's one of the reasons I picked this bar ( and I didn't want to add any extreme length to the truck as the tabs are at the back of the bar not the front)
