This thread is actually giving me some ideas for things I should be carrying around in my truck. Like wet wipes, umbrellas, gloves...

Between having my kids in the truck and hunting season, wet wipes are a must lol. Don't forget to include a bunch of plastic grocery bags for the old wipes. The umbrella is always under the back seat, and there's usually a set of gloves on both front doors. In the fall I throw a winter hat and gloves in the console, too.

So far best morning thread I'm reading here at work w/ my first cup of coffee Lot's of great ideas especially with pics. I'm too lazy to type out all my as some of you like to call 'junk' but pretty much have what everyone has, but I want MORE! Why? Cause I'll plagiarize this quote:

There's an old expression: It's better to have it and not need it, than to need it and not have it. The importance of that expression doubles in significance if you made the conscious decision to "go without it" and then ended up needing it.

Plus I have a DECKED system and its only 50% full and I need to fill it up, well sorta

Easy for you to say with over 2500 pounds of payload to work with.

Seriously, though, my pile-o-supplies in the truck is in the neighborhood of 75 pounds, and some of these lists make mine look like "credit card and cell phone."

That's the price I pay w/o all those fancy accessories Honestly I don't want/need anything but what's on my sig. The 'only' nice to have would've been folding mirrors, but I can make do. I got almost everything I need to recover and fix mine and others on the road with the exception of no winch

It's hard to understand why anybody would carry jumper cables anymore.

Maybe it's cheap insurance? I know there's quite a bit of juice in those little boxes but there is a limitation on how much/many you can crank until it's done and you'll need to recharge it. If you got room why not carry one?

I've used mine to boost my truck 5 times when it had a bad battery when it was new and for keeping devices charged during extended power outages. I guess I would recharge mine after 25 or so boosts or once a year. QVC has sold 700,000 Bolt chargers including 300,000 of this model. They have them on clearance so I would guess a new model is forthcoming.
