Went to the dyno today. Up in hp slightly on both nitrous and N/A tunes. I haven't had anything else done to the truck since the last time besides some fine tuning after cams.

PRX tune before 372 HP
PRX tune today 384 HP

Nitrous tune before 492 HP
Nitrous tune today 499 HP

Slight bummer that the dyno operator really didn't start the pull until a little later in the RPM band so I can't give a great gauge on torque figures. With the nitrous tune I see peak torque at about 3300-3800 and the pull was really started after that. Oh well I did get good logs to send to the tuner. The good sign was that this was pulling hard well through 7500 RPM with really no drop off in power. Waiting him to email dyno sheets.

Sounds promising, Blue. Are you still on a 125 shot? Slamming it in or ramping?

I wanna get my buddy's truck on the dyno to see what it makes. 16 truck with boss 302 manifold, 150 shot and cat delete/shorty headers.

Surprised there aren't more shorty setups out there. Long tubes bring in some torque a little earlier, but peak numbers are a no-show. For the time, money, noise, false knock and all the other heartache it's just not worth it IMO. The sound profile from short tubes into an X pipe on the truck is phenomenal.

Anyway, off the path here in Blue's thread. Need more nitrous content for sure. Interested to see some slips in end-season air.

This is all relevant. Not throwing the thread off. I have long tubes myself. They were a great mid. I dyno after I do any mods so the long tubes were worth about 15-20hp and tq through the entire curve. I'll add a pic of before and after. Now I've added mods since but this will just give an idea. Now I do think I'm experiencing a little false knock because of the headers. The passenger side is basically laying on the frame and no doubt is making some noise. Right when I go WOT for a split second I'll get a little knock 1-3 degrees.

Is that just the change to headers and nothing else, Blue? Hell if I even got 40% of that moving to shorties I'd be happy. Definitely just went in for the sound; but without a doubt when you start stacking mods the long tubes become more attractive if you can tame the signature Coyote rasp and avoid that false knock.

I'm going (more or less) your route next season. I attempted a self install on isthatahemi's nitrous kit but did not trust my wiring skills. Parting out the plate and controller and letting pros do a fresh, clean install next season. Only debate for me is to stay at 100 or go for 125. Mine's a 2015 - but with an 18GT manifold, shorties, intake, and true dual exhaust/high flow cat set-up on 94 octane. Did you run any butt-dynos or actual dynos comparing a 100 to 125 shot?

Only difference in the truck between those graphs is the headers. Let me look I think I have time slips between the 100 and 125 shot at the track. I want to say it was like a 4/10ths difference.

Almost exactly 4/10ths difference and 3 mph between the 100 and 125 shots.

Outstanding. Thanks for digging those up, I appreciate it.

I'm really surprised there aren't more nitrous builds between the Mustang and F150 crowd. Criminally unexplored option for guys that daily their truck. Seems to be more than enough threads here and over on 6G about blown up supercharged motors.
