Per this C&D article, they indicate PHEV, not HEV, and engine will be a turbo, so, looks favorable for the 3.5EB as the base engine for the hybrid. While I would prefer the 2.7 as the base hybrid engine, this is certainly better than a NA engine as base, and if it is a PHEV, that's good news as well. I hope Ford releases spec's soon. Lot's of conflicting press on the hybrid.

It may have been posted here already but I didn't see it. Appears it's not a new generation but the same body with facia changes, tailgate changes, mirror changes, and interior changes. Like a new 1/2 generation. Somewhat like going from a 2015 to a 2018, but also with interior changes. All the engines are carryovers with no changes and with a new electric F150 on the way.
I don’t think that will ever grow on me. The shape of the headlights has angles more like the 2014 and older f150s and the thought of an electric truck to me is sickening.
And I get that we need to wait for full details and non-camo images, but so far it does not seem like a major redesign, regardless of how Ford classifies it using their codes or whatever.
In real life, most people could not care less whether a panel has been redesigned, or the shape of the headlights or taillights etc.
Yes, on this forum some people think that grill design, or "beltline design" or mirrors might be deal breakers, but they are in the minority.
Especially in this day and age, when phone features and infotainment access are becoming much more popular and important.
