I'm saying that rumor has been around since before the GT500 was unveiled. The TRX will definitely force Ford to step up their game, but personally, I don't think the GT500 engine is the answer, especially in a truck application. If it were me, a 5.0 with a blower would be my choice. Try to keep it closer to common with the existing engine and go from there. The 5.2 is a different animal, with a lot of engineering going into track use. I don't think you need all of that in an off-road truck, IMO.

A blown V8 of any variety would likely do the trick for prospective Raptor buyers.

Many "if's" here.
If the quote above is accurate, and if they measure the screen diagonally, as they do on TV's, then a 15.5" diagonal screen becomes an 11" X 11" screen.
How? If you plug the 15.5" number into the Pythagorean Theorem, you remember, H²=A²+B². With H² being 240 (15.5x15.5) and A and B being equal length, the only number that fits is 10.95", rounded off to 11".![Smile](https://www.f150forum.com/images/smilies/smile.gif)
Or not, depending on how they are measuring that screen, and if I am remembering my algebra right.![Confused1](https://www.f150forum.com/images/smilies/confused1.gif)

I thought the 15 inch would go vertical. If what you are saying is correct it will look like nothing more than an ipod stuck in the dash. And in my opinion dodges will still look way better.

"Ford's Limited, King Ranch, and Platinum models will include more premium materials and touch points. An 8.0-inch infotainment display comes standard while an optional15.5-inch screen takes on square proportions in a nod to the Instagram generation. Both run on the brand's latest software, Sync 4."
does that take into count the 16:9 aspect ratio?
An 11" square display seems more realistic, but I would not bet on either one.

So it appears that both the new F150 and Bronco will have this collapsible shifter available. Has anyone seen any more specific info on this?
