If the XLT does get LED accent lights, I think it will only be available in the 302a package. The Explorer and Expedition XLT has a leatherette material known as Active-X. The Lariat and King Ranch have leather while the Platinum and Limited have luxury leather. With this in mind, I can see the XLT 302A offering leatherette.

you are dreaming red, the XLT is a base truck - it will not have leatherette nor LEDs...

The XL is base trim, the XLT is mid trim. Ford also refers to the 302a package for the XLT as a luxury package. Next I never said full led lights, I said LED accent lights. I never said leatherette will be offered in the XLT. No, I said with leatherette being offered in other Ford products and not currentlyin the F-series, it makes sense to offered in the 302a luxury package.

Hmmm I don't think Ford sees the XLT as a mid-level trim, the Lariat plays that role so:
Base: XL
Base+: XLT
Mid Level: Lariat
Mid Level +: King Ranch/Platinum
Limited: Top

I hope that Ford does the 2021 reveal very soon, because this thread is going down the "terlet" with unverified speculation.

Then we can have something actual and important to debate.

Like whether the LCD screen is too big or too small! Yeah, that's it.

Now a days anything that doesn't come with leather and LED headlights is basically a base vehicle. I test drove a XLT after I tested a Lariat and was shocked how cheap it looked inside. XLT's are still really high priced imo for what you get. Better off getting a STX. Everyone has their own idea of what looks nice or what the want. That's why there are so many trim levels and options.

does it work like a starter to where the gear on the motor will let go from the tailgate track when not being used? that way you can still close it manually if preferred?
