I just saw a Blackwood the other day. I forgot they had the 50/50 tailgate ford was ahead of the tailgate game back then.
i see one in my town once in awhile. i don't think they look that bad, but their capabilities as a truck are laughable. 4 ft 8 in carpeted bed, lack of 4wd option. and they only came in one color. i think the only option they had was a navigation system. which sucked to begin with. everything else was standard. i really like Mark LT's though

I forgot about the carpet bed haha. Never knew about the navigation option.

Oh wow that is horrible. You have to look in the floor haha.
That's your opinion. Looking at it, unless there is something behind the camo changing the shape of the door, the cutout absolutely (extends further) is longer. Look at the door handle in the two pictures in relation to how the angle comes up. Def closer to the door handle now. They are not the exact same!!!!
Rather obvious in my opinion. Curious what everyone else sees there. What their opinion is.
Chime in folks.

Could some kind of new aerodynamic design or additional weight cuts help the fuel efficiency and should we expect to see that?

It's highly unlikely that the vent is functional. Probably less than 10% of the fender vents on vehicles are functional and those that are typically are on true sports cars (2 seater, low to the ground, cost $$$). If they were real on the F-150 they probably would not have been covered with camo in the spy shots for months. As to aerodynamics and less weight to eke out more mileage, absolutely. Even with a Federal hold on upping mileage standards in the US, the new F-150 design was underway before the pause and with Ford selling less cars (and even no cars in a few years) and more trucks, anything they can do to increase the fleet mpg helps.
I will keep my 18. I don't care for that GM like interior. Looks bloated. The IP looks nice, but the center just doesn't look right to me, too rounded, as if they took a GM dash and shoved a Ford stack in it. I think it's because the center stack is the same height as the IP is what I am not liking. I still prefer the previous gen dash with the round vents that can be moved 360*.

Sure, but you prolly otta wait for the finished product before you disregard it completely. Things like this have a way of looking much better when finished & presented properly.

I'm underwhelmed with the prototype shots thus far, but your comment is extremely accurate. Wait until you see one the way you'd order it before final judgement. Keep in mind the camo is there to hide the details. In two weeks, we'll know most of the key info. Maybe we'll even get lucky and get the build & price site with the unveil.
