People who hate a vehicle when its first revealed then come to like it or love it after sometime; means that the design was decent to begin with and people just got over the "change" as some people don't like change.

BUT in chevy's case, I think they just had a really bold design and now that its been out for a while, It still hasn't grown much on people. For me, it wouldn't take much to tweak the front end of the HD for me to like it. We'll see what they do with their refresh.

This is why you see the concept vehicles looking all crazy and futuristic and then the production model ends up being severely toned down and kinda generic looking; resembling other vehicles. This is because they gotta appeal to a wider consumer market with varying tastes. People would rather buy a basic beige vehicle than a unappealing one. I mean just look at this forums, I love the digital gauges and the huge infotainment screen. But we have some folks who already miss the hard gauges. Not a bad thing, just shows has different peoples' tastes are.

And yea I hope they do have options to customize the gauge cluster. I like Audi's.

Was there anything mentioned about HUD?

I hope so, for a Platinum, that is a somewhat classless look.

I still don't like the 2015-17 front end, looks too much like the foreign trucks. I do however like the 2018 front end, still prefer the 2014 dash and door panels though, the round vents are more useful and you can stick a liter bottle in the door pocket and not bang a knee against the handle.

Agree on all those points. The 2018 front ends is what they should have started with in 2015. The 15s have LED DRL strips around the headlights, yet they aren't bright enough to act as DRLs so you need low beams as DRLs. It may seem a minor thing, but it's the one of the reasons why I skipped the 2015s and waiting for the 18s. But its personal preference I guess, I know a few people who love the 15 front ends and don't care for the 18 refresh.

The issue people had with the 15-17, was the grill not being separated from the front bumper. For 2021, the complaint seems to be the headlights not flowing with the grill. I will just wait to see it in person.

I like both, but much prefer the '18-'20 face

And this is why you can do mid cycle refreshes and complete changes on a ~2.5 and ~5 year basis and still sell them.

Exactly, everyone will never agree on one design.

It seems like everyone we have built while I’m at work is either white, red or gray.

The Paint building can only handle so many colors. From what I understand, we may not build any new models with the new colors until after we stop building 552's and start changing over.
