And my 2018 instantly looks 10 years old.

Love the new truck overall. Front end looks much more aggressive and that interior...woooo.

The biggest gripe....still using that ugly *** side pecker exhaust. And the limited they showed didn’t have the dual exhaust....surely that isn’t a production model...surely they wouldn’t back track on that feature. I was hoping it would filter down to the lower trims. Overall very positive but my god Ford and their bean counters are stubborn about some features.

I can’t go from this back to the ugly side pecker exhaust.

Could you tell or link me where you saw that on the XL?

Sorry, I like Ford but all the electronics and especially the auto-driving mode sounds like a nightmare waiting to happen. Supposedly it won't be available until the third quarter and can be downloaded when available. How about Ford first work on making downloaded Sync and map updates work on their current trucks. My wi-fi connected 2019 has never downloaded an update

It also sounded like the generator would only be available on the higher trim packages? If that is true then sorry Ford, the contractors, and ppl who need to run tools from their truck don't want to buy a 70k truck to do that, they want just a plain no-frills work truck. Again, the same thing with the fold-down shifter. The lower part of the front end looks like it is leaning towards the Toyota styling - nope for me.

I think it looks great inside an out. Should be a huge hit. But I’m really bummed to hear about cylinder deactivation in the 5.0. They really are trying to kill that thing off.

Cylinder deactivation on the 5.0 is a step backwards in my mind.

Oh, man. All I hear in my head are the GM engines that were rock reliable and then some has issues with cylinder deactivation.

Thanks
at about 180,000 I thought about putting on a catch can but procrastinated, so nope. The interior looks new also but when people see the mileage I’m screwed on selling or trading.

Yes they can still be had with crank windows, but they don't park those models out in front of the showroom.
