I generally like the exterior minus the fender vents.
The interior looks like a significant upgrade, but it's hard to tell without actually getting in it.
Cylinder deactivation on the 5.0 sounds like a disaster waiting to happen. There's no way I'd touch that engine.
I'm not sure I fully understand the advantage of the hybrid system, either. Is it 23 MPG highway? Or 23 MPG combined? Ford's web page doesn't make that particularly clear. If it's highway, I'm underwhelmed.
I really expected them to show off some kind of Tremor off road trim to go head to head against the Rebel, Trail Boss, and AT4. Those are some of the most popular variants of the Ram, Silverado, and Sierra, and there's no Ford equivalent.

My take.
1. Would never buy a "connected" vehicle no matter the brand.
2 Grill is awful. Looks like a F250 mated with a Ford Fusion and I despise the Cclamp LED bars. The lights are not bad but looks like a copy of an older silverado. NO beuno on rear tails either.
3. GTA cluster is fail and the center stack doesn't look as bad as I expected but still looks like an add on piece. NOt near as bad as the ram though
4 exterior body panes on the sides/ doors are a huge improvement along with the wider stance. Chrome F150 side emblem is awful.
5 NOt a fan of the toyota tail gate although the style is much improved over the previous. Nice improvement on the function though.
6 Mirrors look a bit odd and the camera mounted underneath is huge possible a distraction.
7 Lots of innovate features (fold down console/shifter, rear bed power) extended stepbars, additional glove box storage
8 Seats look like they are a big improvement
9 steering wheel looks like decent upgrade except 20+ buttons, wtf?
10 interesting they are puttying sycn 4 in all the models.
11 Cannot overstate the level of fail putting cyl deactivation on the 5.0.

I saw the truck is also a little wider with wider wheels. Think ford is gonna push the max towing numbers to 14k. Either way the looks are ok but the interior is a nice step up. Tailgate has ever more use , the life flat chairs are nice but why not all on trims ? Anyway this is going to win market share back for sure. I can see ford selling 900k F series again next year when they are at full capacity.
also tinkling will the limited get close to 80k MSRP ?

Overall, the exterior is still TBD. The tailgate features look pretty cool but I see that getting scratched all to hell. The front end does look busy... just something about those headlights and grill just doesn't look "finished" to me. The rest of the lines, fender creases, tailgate, and overall exterior will need to be seen in person. The interior looks pretty darn good and more functional, however, all those fancy new large screens has me worried. Cupholder relocation, dual gloveboxes, charging ports, lockable storeage are a big plus for my needs. I'm really excited about the hybrid option and if I read the articles correctly, it should be available on all trims. The hybrid also introduces new territory for the F150 and I'm not really confident Ford will have rock solid reliability on the new powertrain. They're still suffering from cam phasers, timing chains, oil consumption, etc.. BUT I really, really like the introduction of the powerboost capabilities and the optional 2 - 2.4K watt inverters. That's freaking huge! As someone whom loses power at the house and active outdoorsman, this will be a game changer and has me most interested. Pulling the camper and stopping for a bite to eat, I can put the dog in the camper or all of us in, and let the truck power the whole thing. I just need to figure out that 240V problem first. Hopefully it can be switched 120/240v 30amp. Speaking of towing and the hybrid, I also fear this system will be extremely heavy and will result in some weak payload numbers--even for the lower trims. I really hope they bump up the payload numbers across the board. Other than the terrible news about the 5.0 cylinder deactivation, I'm pretty excited about it, and hope a vital organ is not required during the buying transaction.
Depending on this hybrid system and the way it integrates with the transmission, I can see all future engines being paired up with the hybrid system. I'm thinking the 2.7L hybrid will be an absolute gem in 2022. Now I wait for the Tundra release.

Hybrids really shine in city/traffic driving situatiions. HWY isn't a huge deal as the mass is already rolling at speed. Getting up to speed with an electric motor assisting the gas motor is where mpg will benefit.
