With all 8 cylinders, or 6, or 4?

My 13 gen doesn't look that . The door panel goes straight to the front fender before slightly flaring out.

It would mean the 13 gen door wouldn't fit the 14 gen

Still no damn dual exhaust molded into the bumper? Seriously Ford, stop being cheap with the single limp dick exhaust out the side. I'd take duals over a collapsing shifter or telescoping air dam any day of the week...

Did I see right that the explorer hybrid was $4500 I would assume it would be somewhere around there

That was my question for the folks that have seen the finished product. Is the interior as nice as it looks in the photos or is it still cheap looking hard plastics? The Rams still have hard plastics on the lower trims, like Big Horns and below, but they look richer. Do the Ford XLT and below dashes look richer or still look like cheap plastic?

The Raptor is not in the same class. The Trail Boss and Rebel are much more affordable and practical for day-to-day use.

Give the buyers those few but much wanted upgrades and it will only sell more!
(no more fog light upgrades!!!)

Ford really needs to add 4A to the XLT trim. GM (chevy) has it on almost everything!

When I bought my Lariat, I pretty much maxed it out on options. price was close to a Platinum but I didn't want the chrome bits and pieces and I wanted the color match grille with the appearance package.

I'm honestly not too crazy about the 2021 front end...kinda looks like a few different grilles pieced together. (just my opinion) but Ford seems to refresh them every 3 years so we'll see what the 2024s will look like.
As does Ram. I have no interest in paying the premium for a Lariat just to get 4A. I overestimated the usefulness of a rear locker and traction control for winter driving in my current truck. No 4A will almost certainly be a dealbreaker next time around. Why should I settle for less than what I had in a cheap Explorer 20 years ago?

Personally I think it looks outdated before it has even hit the showrooms. It's different, and shows some modern touches here and there I guess, but the more I look at it the more conservative it looks. The tail lights reverted back to the 2009 design, the cab still looks nearly unchanged from 2004, and the front end is completely generic. I guess that's a safer bet than what Chevy did, but to me anyway, that Chevy looks better every day while the F-150 gets a yawn.

Ford still has the most desirable engines, however, and the interior and features are at or near the top of the class. Ford's ability to make a profit on lower trims may be key this time around, I think the luxury truck market is in for some tough times.

I was thinking ~$5K, pending what else might be required with the package. I hope they don't tack on a bunch of "requirements" with the lower trims. An STX or XLT PowerBoost is initially very appealing to me. That will be my first build configuration, when it becomes available on the Ford web.
