Unfortunately, the lossy (throw the data away forever) audio codecs used in Satellite radio (and also with mp3 and Bluetooth) are terrible for critical audio listening and the infrastructure is so in place that it is unlikely that SiriusXM will commit the bandwidth to beam better audio to vehicles.
